About me

My Story

As a kid, I was very involved in all sports. I played basketball, football, soccer, baseball, tennis, cross country, and participated in track at some point between the ages of 4 and 18. I was active. I was also the overweight kid. My twenties were a whirlwind of not evening thinking about my health and living it up with friends. In my early thirties I began to notice just how unhealthy I was. I was overweight and daily activities became harder. I was out of breath almost instantly doing any physical activity. Always sweating. Bad skin. All the signs of being unhealthy. When my wife and I got married in 2018, we moved to Hartford, WI and we found a CrossFit gym near our house. We both fell in love instantly. We met good people, we had fun pushing ourselves and each other, and we were becoming healthier, happier, and more confident. Since starting CrossFit, I have lost (and kept off) roughly 70 pounds. I workout most days, I eat clean most days, but I still enjoy life.

Over the last couple of years we have all seen how important it is to become a healthier version of ourselves. With encouragement (and kick in the rear) from my wife, I went back to school to earn a bachelors degree in kinesiology. I have also completed a 13-month certification process from Active Life where I not only learned, but applied techniques that focus on helping people resolve their chronic pain and get back to living a life they are inspired by. That certification (Active Life Professional or AL-P), my degree in kinesiology,  along with my CF-L1 certification and the knowledge I've gained about nutrition through my experiences makes me uniquely qualified to help you become that healthier version of yourself who says 'yes' to anything they want to do in life.
